This is one of the latest site I have finished. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

What do you think of it?

I had one person saying that the menu does not work like it is supposed to - that they were taken to the wrong pages when they click the links. Anyone has any problems with it?

I would appreciate any comments, browser checks, suggestions for improvements etc. that you might have.

thanks

Well, as far as I can see you should be very happy with the turnout, I love the menu with the expanding and such, the colors of blue and gold are very eye pleasing and the plastic pills look very good. Also the menu worked fine and brought me to the proper pages.
I don't have to many browsers on hand because I did a reformat of my hd and haven't reinstalled any of them, but it looks fine in Win Me IE 5.5.
The only beef I have with this page is the intro, it is good, I just don't really have a nack for intros but you do have a skip intro button so... nothing really to complain about at all. Although, the splash/intro page has a background of white, maybe you would like it to have a more consistent transfer from the splash/intro page and make the intro pages background dark blue?. Just a thought.

Other than that from what I can see it is excellent work for a business site.
Thanks!

I don't think that the intro works with the inner pages. The words that come up at first "dedicated helpful careing etc. . . " move a little fast. Plus I don't think that they really describe an "Orthodontist".

I don't really care too much for the logo to be repeating in the background. It's not bad and it is not distracting, I just don't care for it.

I would get rid of the colored scrollbars. Makes it look more "Professional" and business like IMHO.

I just love that menu though. I did one like that using dHTML but it doesn't work too well in NN4.7 and Op5.

I love the pages though. They are very consistant with each other and the colors are great. Did you use your color schemer?

Have you thought about maybe doing this for the pages that have more than one option (i.e. The pages under About our office and Treatment & info): Doc was talking about how one of his sites was really just one page and all the info was "plugged" in with PHP. You may be able to do something like this with ASP, I don't know ASP so I can't say.

I think that if you did something like this for at least those pages it would add to the effect of the menu. May just be too much work though.

Good pages though. Love your work!

ZOX: It looks really good. My major concern is that you have your navigation in Flash. This might not be too much of a big deal these days but have you got an alternative for people without Flash as otherwise they are a little stuck.

I'm also no big fan of splash pages but I have to say that is one of the nicest ones I've seen very relaxing too!!

There is possibly a little too much use of scanlines - they tend to make smooth corners look jaggy.

Other than that (and the fact that I'm not sure if 'sincere' is one of the things I'd be looking for in an orthodontist) it looks great and the use of colour and the little touches really work well.

I was using Op6 so (going by the comments above) it looks like it passes the crossbrowser test!! Really nice work.

It was a nice intro, and i agree, the text did scroll a little fast, and also At the end of intro the quotation is messed up:

Now onto the main page, nice aqua buttons, but I fail to see why anybody visiting that website would want to play games

other that than, it is a very nice webpage.

Thank you for your comments!

YoYoFreak, I am no big fan of intros either, but if that is what the customer wants... I try to make them as unobrusive as possible.

Great Fallacy! I don't have Mozilla installed, so it is good to know it is working there too.

CPrompt, you mean you think the old grey scroll bar looks more professional? I never thought of that... Always thought the styled ones looks better, and more professional. I agree about the background logo... I might make it less visible.

Emperor... I am beginning to assume that the visitor will have flash installed... maybe this is going too far? Great to know it is working in Opera!

Marf, never notice that! Will fix it.

Thanks

hey zox,
short and sweet:
links: shouldn't the 'useful' go before 'games' links?
buttons: look nice, but don't fit in with the rest of the site. the colour (wrong blue), the uppercase text, the 3d feel, the 'slightly off' background (yellow doesn't fade like the rest) - all these things make it feel 'plugged' into the site, not an integral part of the site.
also, the navigation of this is not uniform - clicking in one place takes you somewhere, clicking on another button expands a menu. that means that there is less predictability. additionally, the expanding text is a little clunky.

well, that's it from me - all in all, a really tidy, professional looking site.

ZOX:

Yeah I kind of tend to think that the grey scrollbars look more professional. I am not really sure why I think that and I have no good leg to stand on. But, that is just my feeling. For places like the Asylum and personal sites and stuff it's great, for a business site I don't know.

Other than what I mentioned above I love it.
