I'm so happy! My webpage is done again! Its at my old prohosting website now but I might move it to a different server later. Links and Art pages are down because all my links and art are at home and I'm at school.

Critique me plz! This is a real departure of style for me so I want to know how I did. I tried to do something different than I've ever seen before (but there is a lot of obvious inspiration: Shizzam's page, Steve's page, Stampage's page etc. hmm seems to be an S theme. I've only tested in IE6 and I screwed with a lot of javascript so I'm sure there is a lot of crap I have to fix for netscape/opera users...and mac users too.

Thanks in advace

Coolness, I like it! I do find the 'jump' of the content area from the top corner to the center very distracting, you might want to set the starting placement for that div somewhere hidden off the left side of the screen, and then let it just appear in the center, that would make more sense to me. The text n the links, maybe that should stand out a bit more? Maybe the mouseovers should make them darker in the middle so they stand out a bit. Nice site overall!

I'm glad you like it Doc, there is a lot of your code in there too. When I was making the page it was 3am on a T1 lan so I had a lot of speed and barely noticed the jump of content. I like your solution, its easy and it works, thanks! I'll work on the buttons later, don't know exactly how I'm gonna add contrast to them yet.

wow... Doc likes it!

http://thedorm.f2g.net/images/corey.html

Moved it to a server without pop-ups (which screwed with my code) Also removed the background but I do plan on replacing it with some kinda pattern. I was really fond of the one I had so i might even bring it back if I can't think of something cooler. I cheated on the border its just a white box behind the other images but at least its the same in all browsers! The page works in opera now (or at least more so than before) but you have to refresh when you resize which stinks and netscape still hates me. Argh I just remember i still have to make the mouseovers better looking too.

Would love comments on how to fix cross browser issues or really any comments on the design.

Schitzo

p.s. should mention no content on this site. Its just a one pager as it is right now so I can work on the code.

Site is now permanently at http://schitzo.y0ru.net

Withs the help of Bugs I rewrote a lot of the code. Now it almost works in Operea, works in NS4, but doesn't in NS6. I don't know what it looks like on a mac though. If anyone can help me find some of these cross browser problems and help me fix them as well then PLEASE DO because I'm really gettin' lost in this sea of DHTML

Almost all of the content is up too so I'm up for spelling errors, critiques on overall layout and design. Anything and everything you've got to contribute. Thanks.

Oh boy, proofreading!

I just took a look at the ME section (didn't want to overwhelm you...), and here are a few things that stuck out ("P" stands for "paragraph"):

P1: I've finally come a across

You'll want to take out the extra "a" there.

P2: to accommodate for any additional needs such as that

You don't need the "for," it's kind of "built in" to accomodate.

P3: (far be it a good one)

This one is a bit weird. I suppose you could insert a "from" after "it," but that is still weird. I would go for something like "albeit not the best one," or something like that.

P3: There is probably something interests everybody on here somewhere

How about "something to interest everybody"?

P3: While you're here you will probably noticed gratuitous references to Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, its because I think that it's one of the greatest works in American literature since Hamlet.

There's an extra "d" on "notice." Also, I would just say "English literature," since it makes the following disclaimer unnecessary. I'm not sure why you would want to say "American literature" anyway, but that's your call .

P4: my God given name.

Should be "God-given"

P5: There is no substitution when it comes to making graphics

"There is no substitute"

P7: I still love to play computer games (who doesn't?)

You need a period directly after the parentheses to close off the sentence (punctuation inside parentheses doesn't count).

Well, I hope that wasn't too nit-picky. I love the look of the site, by the way--but proofreading is probably what I do best, so I thought I'd try to help out there. It's a very nifty site, though.

Ooh, thanks! I had just run it through a spell checker and briefly proof read it. That was a big help! As for the literature comment, I was just trying to copy Adams' style a bit, but maybe I didn't do too good of a job.

Heh, like I said, that's your call. Don't take it out on my account.

By the way, I got a chuckle out of the "pantload of useless junk" line in the "About Me" section. It takes on a whole new meaning in light of recent catastrophic events--and would also explain the odd odor lingering around your site.

love the 'mushy pea' green bg colour! heh

First link loaded first time in NN4.76, the moved website didnt load first time, but did after hitting reload it did load?? hmmm

Like the feel of the site, but really wasnt keen on the font/text your using for menu buttons? Just looked wrong and blurry.

Otherwise, kinda nice, liked the inky stuff on your art page. (grungy almost)

Dracusis did you goto schitzo.y0ru.net or did you goto the link up top. I couldn't find the variable xc (in lowercase) on schitzo.y0ru.net and I moved it there because the other host was running banner ads that were messing with my code. I have win2000 and IE6 and got no error reports. I'll keep looking though.

VP: Thanks! Its wierd, on some computer that background looks pea green and on other it looks more tope. I was going for the tope but after viewing it on a computer that showed it green I kinda liked that too I tried reloading in netscape and it wouldn't work no matter how many times I hit the button. Not very many people seem to like the menu button text so I'm definetly gonna have to do something about that.

Thanks for the comments and keep 'em coming, especially if you can figure out whats wrong
