ack! jaggie circles.

aside from that, the design itself is rather simple. the movement is unobtrusive, but also not particularly 'ooh-ahh' inspiring.

What you are trying to sell/portray has me confused. content would help a lot.

Is this actually for a machining company? if so, the design certainly does nothing to help reflect that.

if this is a personal site, on the other hand, we'll have to wait to see what's in it...

maybe not particularly helpful...just thoughts off the top of my head.

It doesn't run so hot in Opera 6, but given Opera's JavaScript support, it's surprising that it runs at all.

Yeah, I haven't gotten any data yet for it.
Yeah, its a machining company, i didn't really think about the design reflecting that.
I'm not one to have many ideas for designs, and if I do they usually don't come out that great. I saw this one in my head and really liked it, I think it came out pretty good. Its simple, but works.
eewww, there are jaggies. I didnt even notice that. I musta overlooked it. Thats no good. Gonna have to do something about that.

Now knowing that its a site for a machining company, do you have any design suggestions ? maybe some ideas to make it more "wow" ?

Well, there are two obvious avenues for design. You can base it on the physical aspect of machining, and create an appearance that resembles metal, machinery, tools, forges: it's up to you how closely you hew to those visual ideas. You could make a site "interface" that looks like a machine of some sort, complete with steam-spewing pipes and spinning fan blades, or you could use just a subtle suggestion of metal and metallic texture in a more abstract design.

Or you could base your design on the qualities a good machining company should have, in which case you'd try for something that connotes absolute precision, strongly focused geometry (the circles are a little too vague to give that impression), and strict professionalism (in which case you'd want a more severe and stern color scheme, possibly in grey-and-blue territory).

So, try one or both of those avenues.

I'll definitely think about the second one more, cuz i never like the way metal interfaces turn out

I would have to say work on the typography a bit. It seems a little distracting, SKA Machining INC. seem to jump in hight too much. I think it's the use of all caps in Machining, I would try reducing the size of 'achining" slightly or if try switching it to lower case, if allowed. You may find changing INC. to Inc. or inc. may also help, but I don't know the proper usage off hand. The same goes for the link circles, if you are going to use all caps, you should increase the differance a little more for better readability. Right now it just look like a little messy, like an old type writer.

The slogan might look good in quotes, you might also what to reduce the line spacing a little between lines.
