Ok,
I have done quite a bit of work on my site, added CSS and some other stuff thanks to the opinions of DL-44, Slime, and Suho....

I was basically wondering if the default CSS loads first, or if it is loading all messed up, and if so, perhaps the default stylesheet has to be first in the list? If you'll notice I have an alternate stylesheet listed above the stylesheet? Do I need to change this, or is it loading find. I can't tell, because it saves the info in a cookie...so next time you open my page it loads the previously selected stylesheet....
{edit-I did this to keep the order consistent.}

---------------
<link rel="alternate stylesheet" type="text/css" title="White" rel="nofollow" href="White.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" title="Original" rel="nofollow" href="Original.css">
<link rel="alternate stylesheet" type="text/css" title="Pastel" rel="nofollow" href="Pastel.css">
---------------

note-I sort of went overboard with the style sheets, but it was fun. And any other comments you guys notice is of course greatly appreciated.

The site loaded fine, default style sheet first.

Other comments?... Too much centered text, but I have a pet hate for centered text. It just makes things more difficult to read and I personaly think it looks but ugly bey hey, that's probably just me.

Appart form that I think you've done a great job and it's a huge improvment over the fist version you ever posted here. Well done .

Hehe... yeah, style sheets are fun, aren't they?

As Drac said, it's looking pretty good. I think you've done a good job with this.

I'd like to comment more on the centered text, though, because I think it's important (and you've had the centered text from the start). Drac is right--centered text is harder to read. The reason is that your eye has to find the beginning of the line each time you finish the previous line. If the text is left aligned, all lines begin at the same point. If the text is centered (or, God forbid, right aligned), each line begins at a different point, which means you're eye has to go searching every time. True, it may not take long (less than a second), but the more text you have the more noticeable it becomes.

Sorry to go on such a rant here, but since you seem to have the other aspects of the site nailed down, I just really wanted to encourage you to consider left aligned text. It is your choice, of course, and I don't think the centered text hurts the site too much, but it is something to consider.

I understand this, and it's not like most of my documents have centered text or anything. It's just a couple of sentences on the first page, and some of the poems and one story that I formatted to be center aligned for style, besides that all the long texts are left aligned. I accidently forgot to left align the two quotes on my home page, but the rest of the front page is only like five sentences and it looks all unaligned and strange having the text left aligned and the image and everything else centered.

Thanks of course, for the recommendations.

I love the color picker. All of the schemes are great. The Maroon bothers me a bit, but I have a thing against RGB color schemes. I think it would look more sophisticated if you replaced the blue with white in the maroon scheme.

Is it my imagination, or did the site remember the last selected color scheme when I reopened it?

Yea, there is a java script file that remembers the last style you selected.

I got the script from this site: http://www.alistapart.com/stories/alternate/

Yup, like I said, it's your call. I just thought I'd have my say on the matter and be done with it.

Thanks, Suho..

And Rob - I actually sort of like the blue text on the maroon background. My favorite one though is the black one, with the maroon one second. My wife really likes the green one.

And I made the pastel one just because Doc Ozone hates pastels so much. Even though I doubt he will even ever go there.

I moved my site to brinkster.com, which is an awesome place. They host with no pop-up adds or anything. It's really great and I thank whomever listed it in the webhosting faq. The server is also pretty good and my pages all seem to load much faster. I just thought I would mention this...
