Hey hey, It's been a while since I've put anything online. In fact, this is the first website I've finished since all of my other stuff got wiped.

Anyways, this is a complete rush job for an assignment at University. Its simple purpose is to display some supporting media for a project I've been working on. The project itself is just one of four reasons as to why I've been so darn busy recently.

Whilst I don't have time to act on any suggestions you may have at the current time, I will most likely be building on this site at a later date and appreciate any comments or feedback you can provide.

Several problems I'm already aware of:
800x600 HOSD.
Most likely doesn't validate.
Looks like utter poo in NN4.
Menu is a little hard to read (My bad.. over compression... will fix later)
Menu Mouseovers don't preload properly (Again my bad... will fix later)
Design Documents page is a little bandwidth heavy (500k) <- Unavoidable untill I have time to build a decent menu system.

Yup, that's about it... anything else you find is fair game.

Edit: Botched the URL.

I had to reformat the other day, so I'm having to use IE5.5 for a while. Your sites breaks in it. Not badly, but the main content all shifts to the left, and so it (and the metal bars down the side) don't line up with the header. The footer does line up though.

The look reminds me of Robot Wars/Battle Bots, whatever it's called. Looks pretty cool I think, but I'm not so taken by the graphic in the top right. Those white borders seem a bit out of touch with the rest of the site, and the metal texture hasn't been repeated in the top right of that box.

One other thing is that the content boxes are pure grey, whereas there are other hues in the graphics on the site. I'd choose some of those hues for the content boxes, it might look more cohesive that way.

All in all, not bad at all.

Thanks for the comments. Breaks in IE 5.5 hey... damn. I'll have to look into that. It shouldn?t, the content and footer are using the margin:auto for centring and the header is using the left:50% with a negative half width left margin method. Although, they will appear miss-aligned if the browser window is smaller than 800x600. I'll have to check it anyways.

The content boxes aren't pure grey at all, their blue grey. And the graphic to the top right, well, this is a website about a computer game I'm writing using a hexagon tile map. I thought it would add context to the site to include some element of the game, thus the image. Oh and the metal texture wasn?t mean to be repeated in the top right of the box... Maybe that's not so obvious. I might have to play with that then.

Anyways, thanks again. =)

IE prior to 6.0 does not support 'margin:auto'.

This is really cool Drac. The site design itself is rather bland - there's nothing terribly exciting going on, but it all works just fine. The colors, layout, graphics and overall consistency are all logical and intuitive. There's really nothing to complain about when viewed with IE6, NN7, and OP7.

It doesn't make me go 'ooh, ahh' but, I don't get the impression that it's supposed to, especially after reading more about the mentality existing within the game.

Very interested in the development of the game - has a whole lot of potential =)
