Well from my perspective the page didn't load and I couldn't see anything.

FYI: You may want to fix the link. :-)

There're a couple of things that scare me about this.

quote:
So I have decided to publish a collection of stories about him killing things

and the fact that you added a "Mark this as my home page"/"Book mark this page" bubble gum wrapper HTML code. Other than that nice site. Good layout and easy loading.

> Dark, muddy and dull colour scheme.
> Cheap bevels, drop shadows and glow effects used with seemingly little thought or purpose.
> Annoying multi-spawning pop-under adds.
> Depreciated HTML Code, missing a "No Frames" page -- Doctype confusion (some pages have none, others have HTML4, others XHTML with XML tags...) often lacking character encoding.
> JavaScript Rollovers don't preload properly.
> Questionable content. -- You really think someone is going to set their homepage to a "hey, look at my pet" kinda homepage???

For a personal page, its fine, in fact, I?d say more than fine -- a damn good job.

But it does feels like something some kid did in MS word or Dream Weaver. If you want to move away from that then you'll need to work it a lot more.

Drac: Get the google toolbar if you use IE. Its got a popup blocker that does a good job. Pretty useful toolbar.

Ruku: That's not the point. We wouldn't need popup blockers, if sites didn't use them. A temporary solution to a long-term problem, is what it is.

well to whoever said the page didnt load, i dont know, its workin fine for me

i can tell you i dont have any multispawning popups, only one popup from paypopup which guarantess no multispawning, and i dont understand the "cheap bevels, shadows" remark, i myself dont really like the side menu that much but havent really had the time to change it, but the shadows are simply to prevent the page from appearing flat... now some graphics dont really match ill admit that :-\ i changed color schemes and im working on converting everything... one more thing, i thought i did everything with xhtml compliancy, i am going to recheck if thats the case, maybe you could point me to pages with html errors like that... but thanks for all the feedback

Prez, you really should fix your tag-line - the word is "dementia". Or is it a sign of your dementia that you can't spell it

Personally I like it.

As its been said the color scheme is rather dull and the bevels on the buttons are rather cheap and generic. I think the overall layout design is fine though. I would place the front_sammyfacetop.gif on a seperate transparent layer and extend the text underneath it. The head will still cover all of the text below it but it'll give it a fairly pleasing look. Also, if you do a search for the Color Wheel (or is it Colour?) here at the Asylum that should give you a lot of information on color schemes.
