Topic: I'll bite - my personal site (Page 1 of 1)

Well, since I'm feeling in a self-abusive mood this fine snowy Friday, I guess I'll offer my site up to the gods and see what people think. It's a personal site that's evolved over time. I create a look, get bored and then create a new one as I learn new techniques and the like. I'm sure I'll probably change it again sooner or later, of only because I want to do something different.

Hi Rhyssa! Here's what I see:

1. IMHO I think that the 4 hyperlinked buttons to the right of your content would be better suited on your links page...
2. I like your overall style as it is simple and nononsense and easy to navigate...
3. Insert a <title>Untitled Document</title> other than that...it's so overused by the GUI editor crowd...
4. This http://lahutton.50megs.com/artwork/stipple_low.jpg totally blows me away...I used to stipple when I was in High School and it drove me towards insanity.

OT: has anyone ever mentioned that your nickname reminds them of Calista Flockheart's name...well if not let me be the first to say it!

Thanks, Boudga. I never thought about placing those buttons on the links page. That might not be a bad idea. I'll look into moving them, since I need to update the links page anyways.

I try to keep things as simple as possible without having them look too plain. I can't stand sites where you have a huge navigation menu or you have to search for links, so I do my best to avoid that.

Insert a <title>Untitled Document</title> other than that...it's so overused by the GUI editor crowd... Not sure what you mean there. I thought all my pages had a title. Granted they are all the same title, I wasn't feeling too original when I was naming pages. Is there something additional I need to add to the header section in my code?

Thanks for the kind words about my stipple project. I remember doing that back in college and I thought I was going to go nuts, but I love that piece. It's one of my favorites of all the work I've done (which reminds me again, I need to finish scanning in some other pieces). I've not done any traditional art in over 10 years though, need to get back into doing that.

i just returned and found the "links" page to be titleless...

I'm the same way with my art....with photoshop and illustrator I've become to lazy to actually put a real pen to paper anymore...
