I said casual web browsing (i.e. in the comfort of your own home and/or workplace). Text browsers should be used only when you really have to (like in case of terminals, ssh clients, etc...)

lynx is fine on some sites, but many are not setup for text readers.. some sites have text on graphics so are unreadable/ no alt tag to identify what on the graphic/ frames are labled frameI, frameII, with no indication of where your going/ and though you can operate a hotmail account, others like lycos will let you read, but not delete, save, or send messages using lynx..

You must be kidding. Lynx? Yeah, it certainly is a challenge to make nice graphic designs for. ASCII graphics, when will they come true?
