Why is that? It takes forever just to laod and start, then when I'm opening pages with graphics, it resizes the forum tables over and over as it calculates each image size? Can it be set to precalc all images and the room needed, set the table size, then fill in the images? Anybody say "seven year itch"?

As far as Mozilla's slow loading speed is concerned, that's the price you pay when you make platform independent application. Mozilla is supposed to work on virtually every platform with graphical user interface and that's why it can't use any platform specific features (which can improve speed and make development easier).

On the other hand, as far as page rendering is concerned, the new dynamic way of rendering page is actually faster (MSIE works like that, too). You'll instantly see page content and can start reading while other images are still loading. And if we remember, in Netscape 4, you would have to wait for ages in order for it to download all images (so that it can calculate image sizes that are not specified) before rendering whole page. The dynamic way of page rendering may not look very visually appealing to some people, but that's the fault of web developers who didn't put WIDTH & HEIGHT parameters on <IMG> tags.
