I have 2 pics that are both the same except one is a negitive version, i want to be able to drag a circle around the image and have the negitive show through, like nightvision.....

these are the 2 images i have created





can anyone assist me in this matter, maybe pointing me to a link somewhere that would be appreciated

Chris - does that work? I didn't think you could move a mask object any way except with tweening - scripted movement and dragging doesn't work with a mask object, does it? This is one of the complaints I keep reading about Flash.

I read a tutorial once about doing just this - I'll try to dig it up. I'll warn you though - it's pretty darn complex. It simulates dragging a mask, but in reality what happens is that two objects move in equal but opposite directions. Not terribly difficult scripting, but it took me a long time to wrap my brain around what was happening.

Ill try to locate it for you this weekend.

And here are some others I came up with through Google. You've made things more complex by also needing to drag the bezel/target shape. This won't be terribly easy if you're new to actionscripting, but stick with it! The end result looks like it should be pretty amazing!
