What do you think?
http://www.smithorthodontics.net

I have done several web pages and intros in flash before, but this is my first real "animation" (though it is really an intro too)

It is really kind of silly, but I guess it is more meant for a younger audience.

Melikes!

I've got a kick ass little flash file that uses ActionScript to put different sizes and shapes of bubbles all over the place in a movie.

Email me if you're intereste.d

ZOX: I'm sure kids will love it - my only technical point is that when it redirects at the end of the animation we see the animation start over again - just the first few frames but enough to make me just think it was in a loop before it did the redirect. I don't know enough about Flash to go into anymore detail but it would be much more seamless without that.

I think emps is talking about right before you're redirected you can see the little fishy noses sticking out.

Just put a stop action on that last frame after the URL action.

I stink dat would verk.

krets: I see nearly all of the fishes before it redirects but you are right (sorry if I didn't explain it too well).

Thanks for your comments!
Krets, I would have loved that,
unfortunately, the moment we uploaded the finished page we got a message from the customer saying that they had found someone else to host the site for them.
The move has already been made, so I no longer have any control over it.

I realize that I should have put in a stop as well as the getURL thing at the end of it.
Can't see the difference here at my fast computer with fast connection, but I am sure
it will be more visible on other platforms.

Oh well... I need to remember that for next time!

i think at the beginning the two fish are swimming a bit too long until they meet the other two. the user is always expecting somehing to happen.
and same problem here with the loop.

besides that, very good work! love it!

Huh? I keep getting re-directed to the macromedia website??

I thought I might not have had flash instaled correctly so I when to the download page to install it again. The install page said that it would be finished installing when the movie below started, well it started straight away and i'm on a 56k connection. Other flash sites seem to work fine....

What gives?

That is so odd! I get the same thing as well. But only when I follow the link here. If I copy and paste the URL in a new window it works without problems.

Any one has any idea what is going on?

Yeah I'm getting the same thing, what's the deal. It only does this when we link it from the asylum, cause I tried doing it on my server.
