Topic: still capture!

I'm using a Video8 camera to capture still photos to the Pc.

I need to know which software and what's the best method to capture the photos to PC. As at now I've hooked it up on Photoshop but its a very slow.

I was earlier using a freeware capture software that came bundled with the capture board but its not working on Win2k.

H/Software: 1. Video8 camera.
2. A miro Video capture card.
3. Window 2000
4. HP Vectra, 1.8ghz.

Oh, the photos are merged to a database and printed out on plastic membership cards.

its not the application that's determining the speed but the driver and the bandwidth of the capture device.

check that you have the latest drivers for your miro card.

and useable for capturing is a videocapturing software like www.virtualdub.com
