I know! I know!

You can only weld the endpoints of a spline. If you want intermediate points to be in the same place, you have to use Fuse. I also recommend turning on Area Selection for moving the fused points around.

Gimme cookie!

Addendum: Fusing is fine. Even though the ticks are fused instead of welded, Surface will work fine as long as there are 3 or 4 sides. And watch out for internal surfacing -- can get really messy.

Good boy Warjournal *pats warjournal on the head in a condecending manner* We all knew you'd learn some thing one day.

Unfortunatley we're out of cookies at the moment so here's an artificial imitation Mcdonalds cookie substitue and pot scourer.

In the beginning, there was the word...and the word was 'God', although by the time it reached the other end of the phone line... the word was 'Gznd'

The whole time I've been here, I've only gotten one cookie. So, don't expect, don't get disappointed. It's a sad affair.

I learned a *ton* in a hurry compliments of:
http://www.interactivetrainingcd.com/3dsmax.html

Very much worth it. One thing to read about the action, another thing to see it in action. Something like that.

The spline thing really threw me for a loop for a bit. Did this as an exercise:

The protrusions were orginally two splines. That's how I learned about internal facing -- the hard way.

I'm getting there.
