Hooo....good luck. Bryce is a landscape generator...very good one at that, but for other modelling purposes it's really far from the best. If you're looking for a free modeller there are quite a few out there...check out this link.

Don't worry about the fact that its made for landscapes, bryce can make anything you want it too. But your going to need to work at it. First things first, pull out your manual, and read up on booleans, you're probably going to use a lot of them.

I'd start by using a paint program to make the outline of a guitar, fill it with a dark grey, and darken the edges just a touch, save it. Open up bryce, create the double sided landscape object, and use the picture you just created as the map for the shape. This should give you the basic shape of a guitar. Next, douplicate this object, shrink it just a little, and place it in the middle of the original. Boolean subtract it from the original. Next, boolean subtract a hole on the top, and search the compound objects for a twisted cylinder (you might need to make it yourself - I only can use bryce at school, so I'm not sure of all the technicalities.) - and use it as the strings. Everything else should be simple to make.

Yeah, Dan's advice is on track. Just to clarify, the "double sided landscape object" Dan referred to is called a Symmetrical Lattice. It's the one in the Create Toolbar that looks like a floating island. You can make just about anything with them, good paint program, and a good knowledge of boolean operations. Good luck!
