I have recently reinstalled my 3D Studio Max (version 3) I can do anything I want in it, but when ever I click the animation button the whole program just freezes, locks up and even freezes my whole windows XP Pro. The only option I have is to power off the whole computer as literaly nothing else works. I don't get any error messages at all. Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?

heh. yes everyone is so helpful. that's cuz noone knows. I've been working with max for over 5 years (with breaks) and I never had any similar problem. Try reinstalling max, or even windows. might help. or get another version of max if it doesnt. if it still doesnt help, it's hardware.

3DS Max 3 and Win XP generally don't get along.

Thankyou for taking a second to respond people. I updated my video drivers (Mobilty Radeon 9000) and now everything is fine. Why did I not do this before you ask? Because these drivers did not exist before, but thanks again.
