hello
well, i know that my pov ray skills are quite bad, but i just like this program so much, and this is why i am continuing to play around with it.
unfortunately i just couldn't get behind this problem:
i want to render a shape of my personal logo, and i did this by using a height field, since i read that it uses the values of the colors included in an image.
(this is the logo i am talking of: the black white shape is included in the zip)
after i tried around a bit, i always came out with these jaggies:

has anyone an idead what could be my mistake? help is very appreciated.
thank you - here is the zip

This is partially caused by a bug in POV-Ray, which I provided the fix for in Slime-POV. Supposedly, the bugfix will appear in POV-Ray 3.51, or whatever the next version is, but there's no ETA on that.

What's happening is that the smoothing of the height field is making things too flat on top, which causes the little squares in the height field to show through.

You might consider downloading megapov, which I think also has the fix.
