just had an assignment in school to make some absolut ads.. so i took the opportunity to practice modelling in LW and then experiment with some different renders.. I hate these.. i'd like to have had more time into them, but whaaatever. Thought i'd show em here since this 3d forum gets hardly anything...

the 404 one, while it isn't 3d, i used my alpha channel from a LW render to make it..

they're not really done, and I have a major change to be made to the shag one. bah

I love the Absolut 404, that's great. The absolut shag is but a little too dark, maybe a have the spotlite hit the backwall and slightly the forground so we see a little more of the carpet.

All very clever. All could use some color tweaking and less harsh lighting. look at a real ad and you'll notice a lot of abient soft light coming from above. They play with reflection and refractions a lot aswell. Most ads for liquor look like a strait shot in a photo studio.

i have a tutorial bookmarked that might help out with the glass, it goes into some good detail on lighting and surfacing: http://www.liquid-arts.de/techniques.htm
