Lurch Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: Behind the Wheel Insane since: Jan 2002	posted 02-18-2002 06:58 I've got Win2000 Server set up with IIS and PHP. I only use this for creating and testing sites. I used to use apache with PHP, but using IIS is so much more efficient for me to use (as far as switching between sites and starting/restarting the server). I'm now getting an access violation on all of my php pages though... I've done some searching on the web for some causes of this, and found some stuff saying that certain things may cause it, but I'm not even doing much when it happens... basically just includes and echoes so far! Anyone know what's going on and how I might fix it?? this is driving me nuts! thanks --Lurch--

I set Read and Write under local path but above application settings. I think it may be a security problem having Write enabled??? but since this is just used on my machine for testing and creating sites before I upload them to the web its fine. --Lurch--

yes, it happened with me, and probably now with you cause you're using PHP with IIS as an ISAPI.

use PHP as cgi with IIS and it will work.

search for: using PHP with IIS as CGI
