Hi there,

we are working on a university study about logfile analyzers.
firts we will find out what tools are available and later we will
design our own tool in vba. this will then be "translated" into
php.

my question is if there are any market studies about existing
analysing tools out there. we have already foung about 70, but
it would help us a lot to see someones work about the common and
not so common features.

what features do you think a (webserver) logfile analyzer should have?

thanks
flo

foremost: dynamic analysis. I want to be able to quickly change the way I view the data!
