what is the best code to use if i wanted to create a chat forum such as this one, also, is there a place where i can get a already made code and tweak it besides in the View Source option.

It will depend on what server setup you have as to what you could run, ie do you have CGI access, ASP, PHP/MySQL etc.. There are stacks of free and not free forums already available. Yoiu could download some of these and study the code to learn how they work

Yeah it's free but there are many better ones around, I like InvisionBoard

There are countless free forum softwares out there these days, the day of the commercial forum software is comming to an end if you ask me

And if you go look at the beta vBulletin site they got going for v3 you will see that it's days are numbered too, they are really ruining it
