A first quick look in the FAQ's didn't give me an answer on the following question:

"I found a hosting company where I can run ASP, PHP, CGI, JSP scripts and have multiple MySQL databases. Which programming language should I learn, because I don't have time to learn them all?"

PHP is the easiest.
ASP usually means Microsoft IIS <-- ACK!!!!!!!!!
CGI isn't a language in itself. It usually means perl, extremely powerful and useful language but PHP is a easier to learn.

I can't really say much about JSP I haven't used it much.

bitdamaged is right, cgi is just a way for a webserver to let other programs handle the request.
The most commonly used program might be perl, but there are python gatways for example, and you could even have a real c/c++ programm sitting at the backend.

So what should I do?

A) Find another host.
B) Don't use multiple server scipting languages at the same time.
C) Use CGI/Perl, that's safe and powerfull.
D) Don't bother the security risks, just go for it.

A + B)

and e) Learn php. it's better than perl, since code in it is usually more maintainable.

I would 100% reccomend PHP over anything else for a first language. It will give you the best experience out of those affore mentioned. When you get good with the PHP, then you should move into using Perl, then maybe try your hand at a bit of Java.

But as always start with PHP it is just a feel good, easy to use language.

ohh ohh theres a really good article on sitepoint right here affectionatly titled:

Which server side scripting language is right for you?

It goes over all the advantages/disadvantages, details ect.. for someone trying to figure out which one they would want.

ohh, and if you need new hosting, I do linux hosting for a darned pretty cheap price.

Definatly PHP, I've tried learning, ASp and that was a no go
wich left me with Perl and PHP
and Perl's just to fussy,
PHP's definalty easier and cleaner,
