Topic awaiting preservation: Adding Text To an Image

I dont know how many of you have seen the PHP scripts that do this http://www.holeinthe.net/boobies2.php?text=deviant ... anyone know where I cant get a script like this or know how to make something that does something like this... I know very little PHP but would like to get this script going on my site... thanks.

This is going to depend on what you have installed with your PHP package
IF you have GD compiled you can use the imagecharfunction to do this. That example tilts the text which is kinda funky (and I'm no expert at this).

But you could also use a command line tool like Image Magick with a PHP exec or passthru command.

Finally there's the gimp which is a linux PS equiv that can be done entirely from the command line to do something like this. but if you're short on the coding chops this would be really difficult
