My host uses cpanel, which is great, but I'm having problems importing finished databases from my computer to my host machine so I can set the database up. can anyone explain how to do this? I've toiled over it for hours.

I usually do a sql dump to a file and then use either phpMyAdmin or a shell to run the import query. If you're also using phpMyAdmin at home, you can use that to do the export and then run the import on the host using phpMyAdmin (SQL tab). You didn't mention what you have tried so far so sorry if you've already tried that.

What he said, if you don't have phpmyadmin I actually have a script I can give you to upload and run mysql files.
