I have a server. And I have given some webspace to people. I have given them a folder but there is no limit to how much stuff they can put in the folder. Does anybody know how to put a file size limit on a folder or directory? Perhaps an FTP program that moniters the size of the account?

Thanks

Is this for Linux or windows?

Check out linuxquota at sourceforge.

Windows also has quota's but only on NTFS and on a per volume (drive) basis there are third party tools for this however.

Anyway if you google disk quota etc, quota is the keyword you're looking for

If it's a Windows 2000 server, enable quotas on the drive.

hmm dunno for XP but usually it's just a matter of right clicking on the drive and selecting the quotas tab
