Hi, guys. How are you?
I feel very sleepy coz I haven't been able to sleep well for a week or two.
Never mind.

Well, I am reading information about MS SQL Server. I am interested in platform requirement. I found this here.

So may I make myself clear?
MS SQL Server runs on Windows Server well!

But what I am wondering is if it runs on Unix and Linux server or not.

I found this:

quote:
Client Support:

• Windows 955, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, and Windows XP Home Edition are supported.

• UNIX, Apple Macintosh, and OS/2 require Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) client software from a third-party vendor.

This comes from same link above on the same page.
Does that mean Unix and Linux can be used as platform for MS SQL Server???
Any comment will be highly appreciated.
Cya.
