I have edited my httpd.conf file to get php to handle .wml files so that I can make a little application to allow people to search an LDAP structure for a last name, and then choose the person and make their phone call by clicking the name.

WAP service will not be available in my area until July, so I figured that should give even me time to learn the ins and outs of WML. But I am encountering difficulties. I can display PHP generated code and link to other cards in the deck and also link to outside pages, but I can't figure out how to pass post variables between pages. I have read plenty of tutorials and my code seems to follow right along, but nothing happens.

If anyone has some experience in this, please check out the code I posted in wml woes and let me know where I'm missing the boat on this.

I've started to play very little with this and i found a class that is supposed to handle forms and all that stuff in wml. Look here: http://www.hawhaw.de/

I ran some tests with this just for fun on a regular LAMP server and I can reach and read it fine on my Ericsson T68i.

HAW got me further than before....Ericsson phones like my code!

But still no 'submit' for Nokia. I can pass all my variables via a URL? in an href though (even w/out HAW), so I guess that's what I'll have to do until I can get to the bottom of this.

I still a bit concerned about using GET instead of POST, for security. But apparently HAW doesn't use POST either. Maybe for sensitive stuff like passwords I can use something like ssl.
