I'd love to see what you come up with. I like the solarization effect of the second one but you need to work on making the animation smoother. Mahja's animated fire tute has been a great source of info.

yup, i've got the right matte. I tried following this transparency tutorial. I guess maybe i did something wrong though. I know it's hard to get good transparency when you have a kind of smokey look going on too. That's probably not helping either. I'll look at it some more and see what i can figure out though.

oh and sharma...i like your sigs, really, i like them all, BUT 98kb is a bit TOOOO MUCH, ey? plz resize

clouds suck when it comes to such.... but it can be done.

Which is why my moon sig is in a box at the moment.

sharma, make sure that when you export you'll need to set the settings to 'automatic' for all frames. This will clear up any mes in the animation.

the sig on the left in the first post looks very good but the version in your third post seems to have something blocking the clouds in the top left corner(kinda looks like a backwards Italy)
