Just a head's up to everyone...
I did some house cleaning on my sig hosting space... http://formclot.net/sig/
I looked at each sig... so no one here should have lost anything important.
I *did* however.... remove the faq icons that were being hosted. No need for those anymore.

It's come to my attention that my little "I'm dumb" sig hasn't been working entirely correctly...
And it would appear that to an extent, it's somewhat moody. Works sometimes... doesn't work other times.
As a result, the Sig Realm has been over run with people from RPG forums.
So... I've gone through each sig and deleted as nessecary.
One lucky winner got to keep his sig 'cause I got a kick out of it....



As for the other 43 sigs I deleted.... well...
Some people may come lookin' for answers.... and the Sig Realm links to the Asylum of course (which how we've gained a few new members here, such as yannah)......
So if there's people poppin' questions about this.......... you know the story... and you can more than happily point them to this thread... or to me, personally.

I appreciate your help.
On a side note...
RN3 - you have a pretty good quantity of sigs being hosted..... are there any that you wouldn't mind deleted?

and that's only from the past few weeks.
I was cleaning it on a weekly basis for a while... but I just hadn't got around to it lately.
Always more sigs to delete than to keep.

BTW - did anyone join because of the Sig hosting, that is becoming a contributing member? What I mean by that, has it been worth it (not the Sig hosting...that has clearly been worth it. But allowing others outside of the Asylum use it)?

No way to really tell if someone joined because of the sig hosting. Judging by the names on the sigs..... I'd say no, no one has joined due to it that contributes in the manner you're suggesting. I recognize all the names from people that have been here at least for a short while.
There's somewhere around 30 sigs continuously hosted to members here.
The focus of the SigRealm was to host member's sigs who possibly didn't have space themselves or for various other reasons.
It's done that... and it's doing that.
Of course it has been worth it.
And I'm a little annoyed that you'd ask that question in such a manner, WS.
Even more-so because drawing in members is not the focus of the SigRealm.

My mentioning of yannah brought on a couple of statements.
And here's my only remedy to something that I thought nothing of at the time, but I should put an end to, now....
The point to my mentioning the name was in no way meant as a bash, cut, or flame.
The intent was to point out that the sig host has illustrated it's ability to accidentally draw in individuals that aren't all that web savvy.... and that aren't particularly interested in the web arts, but will possibly choose to stick around.

and yes guys, I know you were saying both of those as jokes.
I'm just laying out some extra dialogue for clarity.

Yeah, I occasionally keep an eye on MyG0t...that's one sick forum...I was wondering, how long it would take, before one of them started using the Sig Hosting service...

ok then...i was at school...my sis was really into sigs and that stuff, then I'm a member of Vanessacarlton.com. all people there has lots of sig so i thought that it would be better if i have one too...i searched the net for a better uploader engine not like my sis's MyImager.com that won't last that long. That's how i got here...
i was too dumb not to understand the rules, so i signed up as a member to ask...but then u all dissed me and hated me...i don't know...Days passed by , i realised that i liked this site more that having a sig...so i don't care about sigs anymore...i'll try other sites for that...and i'll also try just putting up words as my sig...
