Hey, some of you snazzy asylumites have a cool cgi that loads a different sig for every reload. I want to do that too.
Would make a good FAQ if there isn't already one. I can't find one >_>

Bmud, it's in the :FAQ: but for some reason the search engine is not working.

I can upload it to my server as a text file so you can get it. It was made my mr.maX.

CPrompt, Thanks for uploading Mr Max's sig rotator. At the risk of asking the stupidest question ever... what do I do with it?

If I'm not mistaken, you upload it to your server, rename it to *.pl, then use {URL}http://www.domain.com/subDir/script.pl{/URL}
where http://www.domain.com/subDir/script.pl is where you uploaded/what you named it.

uh... I repaired the faq search a little... it didn't search the title correctly...

anyhow, the relevant faq would be :FAQ:, I believe.

Moth: As Raptor said, change the name of the script to script.pl Then upload the script to your server (CGI bin usually)
Make sure that within the script you have the path and names of your sigs. Then in your post you just make a link to the script itself.
The script will take care of the rest.

You know, I even went to check to see wether the faq's search was working before finding my own reply to this thread...

i just uploaded the rig rotator php file and am now testing it
i only have 2 sigs right now

His sig isn't changing on my end. I've refreshed a dozen times and that parrot's still there.
