It's real small, and I don't really like having a big sig....

I like it. Small (physically and in filesize), simple, and effective. And who says a good sig needs your name?

Good point. I just always see people saying things like, well..."If you just add your name somewhere, it would be a good sig.

These are just a quick few that I pulled from the sig pages. Each is instantly recognizable by anybody that's been here for any length of time, and they don't have names on them. Take a look at mahj's collection too - the majority of his new sigs have his name quite hidden.

The way I see it... if your sig sets you apart from the rest of the horde, then it's done its job. Name or no name.

I would argue that all but one of those DONT work well as sigs, but I've hijacked this thread enough.

To illustrate a point a point that I agree with, permission granted.

GN:

I like the wheel. Simple and small.

However you might want to check the bottom part of it since it seems to be cropped a bit too tight.

I'd also suggest working some on those jaggies that appear when the twirl is at it's end state.

The bottom and the right are both cropped too close.

Yea, your right...I just noticed that. I will fix it up. I think I know what happened. I also just noticed the little jaggies...Damn jaggies... On the upper bar. Thanks you guys.

Simple, small, nice. Once you clean up the jaggies and cropping I think you'll have a keeper.

Not bad. FIx the cropping and it'll be just fine.

As has been discussed ad nauseum, a sig doesn't need to have a name. Your name is already attached to every post you make.

The one and only concept behind a graphical sig is that it is a graphical representation of yourself.

That can include, but does not in any way require nor imply, your name.

On the Sig theme...
I have only recently been a regular here so I have not really grown acustomed to ppls "sig style" enough to recognise an individual sig without the name showing, but I'm sure it's probable. Given enough time.
And I'm also sure that there is no one ideal style for the perfect Sig, just as there is no perfect human for the name that tries to identify them!
