My first try at animation.

There is something in the text scrolling that does not look properly looped in comparison to the rest. Possibly it is one or two frames.

Try using a trasnparent background btw.

4 frames actually. I was having trouble with the transparency in saving the whole animation so I just gave it a solid background, Is there anything that I could have done?

Yep. Select all frames and then right click, choose "Restore to background."

(is anybody else having a problem with IE6 randomly going back? No problems with this until I had a recent windows update...)

Raptor; the only time when that happens to me is when I hold SHIFT to open a link in a new window, and accidentally scroll down with the scrollwheel. that causes IE to go back one page. very inconvenient.

Rauthrin; If you're using imageready, take a look at this :FAQ:. The animation is quite choppy, which may have something to do with the 4 frames.

We gots a fancy mouse here in work with a wee button on the left where your thumb goes, its a back button in IE, I kept hittin it for a while with the keyboard or anything when I didnt know it was a button, mebbe the same ?.

Oh and your sig :P Its nice, the scrolling is a bit jerky, it is only 4 frames but thats not important it still looks fine. What I dont get is what it is ? The buttons mean its not a TV, the amount of buttons shows it isnt an ATM, and its too junky to be a futuristic panel like in Star Trek. Looks like one of those microwaves with 2000 settings so you gotta make sure you only use the start/stop button.

I added some more frames and fixed the transparency.

Therefore, it needs a cover.

Try scrolling fewer lines at a time, and adding a blinking cursor. Also, a .5 second delay on each frame wouldn't hurt, IMO.

All-in-all an impressive first attempt!

Rautheren, that looks nice but, for my tastes, the border is a little too big.

(Kaervek, that sig is fairly obnoxious, although Lain was a cool movie.)

I've never seen Lain, how is it? Is it as good as Akira, or as good as Dragonball Z?

It's a good thing I didn't make it for you then, eh?

Kaervek; you got that from Rocky Horror? (if you have no clue what I'm talking about, then never, ever mind..)

An well, obnoxious.. it's just Lain's head. There's not much artistic merit there, is it? I know on a lot of forums it's a common habit to include your favourite anime/videogame/movie/whatever character... Here however, we only include our own work in signatures. (Hence the term signature) Sure, it's no rule, it's no law and nobody's going to prevent you from doing so... There's a little :FAQ: page about "What's in a signature?" which contains some pointers. Again, these are not absolute laws, but some do make a little sense.

edit; please excuse me if this sounds all a bit too negative... and also, my remark made this go quite offtopic. You didn't ask for your sig to be reviewed, Rauthrin did. So we should mind our own business here, actually. If you want your sig to be reviewed, please make another topic in this forum. I hope we didn't offend you, or anyone else in this process.

Offend me? Nah, I could honestly care less what is said of my signature. Like I said, I didn't make it for him/her. Anyway, I just started PShop a couple weeks ago, and I'm getting bored of simple interfaces and crap that's so dominant at other forums I frequent. This was an attempt to be simple, yet tasteful.

From Rocky Horror? Are you talking about my name or the sig? Either way, that's incorrect. I'm very familiar with what it is, btw

Anywho, as you said, this is horribly off-topic... sorry Rauthrin, for my, and other people's, rudeness.

BTW, mahjqa - I've taken a good look at your signature page(s). Some serious inspiration there. I am particularly fond of the pixel animation that creates your name, then fades into nothing. I had no idea all that stuff could be made from scratch with PShop. Thanks for sharing!
