OK...that's definatley big...far too big.

The black is OK..fits nicely with the colours around here...but the green closhes in a way that makes me feel sick. Please..if you're going to create signatures for this baord follow the colour scheme.

Oh...and don't create a new thread for the same signature...just keep using the same one...we don't mind...really.

My big thing about your sig.... TOO BIG! about 1/4th of that size would work, if that. Look at my sig, even mine borderlines the criteria for too big. Green is ok... but.... I am just not used to seeing green on brown and orange so much.

Prez, i'm affraid that i am going to be honest with you:

1. The colour scheme as previously mentioned clashes with Ozone
2. The images is way too big to be called a sig, just take a look aroud and you will see what the average sig looks like.
3. I dont think you put much thought into what you did.
4. Putting a link to a personal website, in my books, is ok, but having a url in your sig to an Mp3 site, i would advise against. Its just clutter.
5. Learn how to use transparency, most of the sigs in ozone use it, and they use it for a reason, it helps the sig to blend in.

In general, take a look around and see how others have done it, then create your own style, but small.

Edit: Buggar, you got me on the typo !

and it would have been polite to just post this to your inital thread.

"someone can delete my previous post" - > I am offended by the chain of thought that produces such a statement. It indicates you have no concept of personal responsibility... which in my books is a killing offence. That doesn't mean you can be forgiven, but it means, that if you don't grow up a bit, I'll be displeased even more in the futer.

hmm now that you mention it, the green black does clash just a little with red and orange... is this maybe a better color scheme for this site?

That is much better. it would be even better if you changed the background in the original file to RGB(43, 04, 04), flattened it in PS, then in image-ready convert it to a standard layer, and using the marquee tool with concurrent turned off, tolerance at 0 and anti-aliased off, click on a section of background.

Delete what it selects and "Save Optimised As...", save it as a gif...and you'll have transparency. oh...and remove the outer border.

the reason why i didnt do what you suggested, well i did at first, i set it as an optomized gif with transparent background and it was all set, but the outer glow didnt diffuse very smoothly when i used gif, so i thought, easy solution, save it as a png, that way 24-bit color, smooth fading and transparency and it would be fine, but my image host i used originally didnt allow png extensions, so i decided to add a border and fill with black so the matte wouldnt clash with the background on the forums, and i could then save it as a jpeg and keep the quality of the glow...

Hi prez, I think your last two examples are better. I don't mind the green on a smaller sig (mayhap a different shade tho'), but on the first one it's "in your face 'n' ugly"
If you want to get the best transparency results, just start again with a new doc', background colour as given above^^ (2B,04,04). Then a new layer on which you put your text and layer effects. Then turn the background layer (2B,04,04) off (click the lil' eye in the layer pallet), go to, File>Save for the Web, click the "2-Up" tab, then select Gif, and make sure the "Matte" colour is (2B,04,04) with transparency ticked. You can veiw before saving by pressing the "E" at the bottom of the "save for web" dialogue box.
This is just off the top of my head, check the FAQ's for infinitely better guidelines HERE .

Hahahaha. (Yes, typos are funny, and even funnier when taken out of context )

And prez, the last few sigs are much better. The first one was just, uh... too random.
