Has anyone noticed that oner of the few pages that Doc hasn't customised in this forum to his colour scheme, font, blah, blah, blah, is the screen that comes up after you achive a topic? Why is this? Is it not possible to custimise it, cause it looks really out of place. You go from those dark, warm colours of the forum, to this black and white barren page with two links, one small image and (shudder) arial for the font.

Any comments, etc?

Yeah, but it seems to be a page straight from infopop...I just figured it was beyond the reach of the customization.

Petskull, you haven't seen it because you haven't been a Mad Scientist long enough to archive or move a topic. You see it someday tho.

On a similar note, we need more archives or just a misc. archive to place other posts into. (ie posts from site reviews, 3D Modeling, etc...)

OK; I can do that, on both points. Seems to me I had a MISC archive, but it got shot down when I was trying to trim my disk quotas down to a point where posting was possible again!

So, I'll look into that archiving page, I klnow the one you mean, I've seen it, I just haven't tracked it down yet. I'l archive something tonight, copy some distinctive looking code, and run a search for the offending snippet.

I'll do a MISC archive right this minute.

I've also opened this forum up so other folks can view the posts here, even though posting is limited to MS's only. Lemme know if this makes any of you uncomfortable.

Leaving the MS Lab open to others to read is a good idea, they can help to keep us in check so that we don't get too 'mad' with power. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

Keep up the great work Doc, you are really making something great around here.

EDIT: I need a spell checker.......

OK! Anyone can read pthe posts here, but only Mad Scientists and Psychotics can post here. Since I went ahead and promoted all the Psychotics to full-fledged Mad scientists, there aren't any anymore, at least, not yet.

I also went and re-formatted the bit when you finish archiving a post and it gets all ugly, seems to work now, not quite exactly the same, but closer and better. Should be more useful, too. (Easy links back to the forums!)

I better go look at the rest of the forum, which I haven't really done since this morning. How's the mood out there? Are the inmates restless? ;-)

*runs to put on some pants*

what?!? open to everybody!?!
nah, it's a good idea... it's like cameras in congress, like F1 said, without being nice and responsible we won't have new neurotics to look over...

The (other) inmates are playing monopoly and finger painting just fine, warden. I told you that all that was needed was your seal of "I said so!" and everyone would line up behind ya..

Like I said in the other thread, adding Shiiizzzam would be a good idea.... I know *I* wouldn't want to answer a knock on my door at 3 in the morning from someone with a baseball bat, a shovel and an alibi...

Would Shiizzzam be like one of those dissembodied heads that mad scientists always have in their [our] dungeon laboratories?

What do you mean, the ghostly kind that float around and moan (get your mind out of the gutter) or the kind that used to be put up on pikes outside medieval castles?

It's good to see those pages customised now, but yeah, that redirect back to the forum you were archiving from, instead of going back to the forum summary page would be a good thing.
