just set up a alias email account at yahoo.com or bigfoot.com or other place.

This keeps your actual(preferred) email account not so apparent to the rest of the WWW...

Heh heh, I used to get mail from Mary Carter all the time, her company must run some stupid bot that looks for both a name and an email on a page, and then they send you the "personal" mail! Rather than go to any great lengths to mask my true email, I simply filter all this crap out as it arrives, and send it right where it belongs! Maybe I'll start a new action, where it mails something *really* large back to them, by default? Not a bad idea, that.

Your pal, -doc-

gawd, I hate spam...

I do like tearing into spammers... before I formatted I had this 5MB movie of humping hippos. I would have a script to forge it into a server (or a couple different ones) a couple dozen times using different fake emails...

The, of course, the obligatory 'This is not a denial of service attack' email --an I dea I got from the comic strip user friendly

I'm a gemini after all.... and I HATE spam..

We should start collecting lists of spammers, and then start sending them tons and tons and tons of email. It would be reverse spamming but on like a global level. I added that global level thing cause it just sounds better. In any case I set up a few different email accounts for different people to send stuff to. One for spam, friends, close friends, kids from school, etc.

Call me insensitive, but...

It seems to me that if you're going to make your email address public knowledge, you should expect some spam. You get in in your real mailbox, but you don't send a mailbomb back, do you?

Some people make their livings off of spamming net'ers. Just delete it, or read it, or masturbate to it, or whatever you do, and move on.

hmm.. a spammer sympathizer... must kill...
the thing is, when you're sending it, it's called 'email broadcasting', when you get it, it's called 'spam'.

Jestah, a technical impossibility, most of the emails addresses are forged. You could send them to the company email but it's simple as pie to change that one...

twitch... hmm.. good idea... gonna see what the people at 'Publishers Clearing House' have to say about ol' Mr. Krytical Mäss...

I had a website that I got published to over 4,000 search engines and FFA pages FOR FREE!!! Worst thing ever. I didn't use my real email address because I didn't want all that possible spam coming to me so I used an alias thing with a free host @arashikage.8m.com. I forgot that anything@arashikage.8m.com forwards to my real email. So now I get junk mail everyday from these sites and I can't unsubscribe from them because if I hit reply it comes from my real email address which isn't in their list, the alias is. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/frown.gif"> I learned that lesson the rock hard way. SPAM BAAAAAAD!

Alright insensitive, I dont create an email account for the simple reason of other people to make money. I open one so I can communicate with friends and family, as a 17 year old kid who doesnt have a job nor plans on getting one for a while it pisses me off when i get 100's of emails a week pertaining to porn, Earn $100,000 a day, or anything else. Truthfully how would you or anyone else feel about getting phone calls from telemarketers at the same rate you get spam? I went to Washington DC for the week, just got back today and I have hundreds of email, majority from spammers. I wouldnt want to get phone calls from 100's of people during the week so they can make money.

You bring up a good point with the telemarketers. I hate that crap. I've actually been one and it isn't any fun being on the other end. Junk mail, spam, whatever you call it. It really sucks.
