Hey all I was wondering how hard it would be to add a php tag for the SSS forum. something where you can do

[php=array_merge] and it will link to the appropiate page on the php.net site. The site keeps things simple all links look like this
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/function.array-merge.php

the only trick is underscores need to be changed to hyphens.

Anyway just a thought.

bd: Nice idea - how about we host a copy locally?

Oh and you don't need to change the underscore:
www.php.net/array_merge

I'm all against hosting a local copy of the php manual... what makes it so great is the user's comments, which we would loose.

As for the ubb, I'd rather propose 'outside source' ubb code.
like
[os hp=array_merge]
or
[os:c2=TheEmperor]
(for the original wiki at c2)
that would make it a lot easier to define more of these things.

But then, adding any ubb is horrid in this board software... they scatterted them all around into 5 different places that all need to be patched.
Had a hell of a time to get the :FAQ: smiley working.

Sounds like something worth looking into for the next implementation of the asylum.
