Uh... Ok let's start.

First welcome here. As I see you're new, you should take a look at the reception room :FAQ:, you will find some important info about here.

Perhaps if you're asking for a review you could post it in the right thread, or notify it ? There are a lot of things wrong on your home page, for example :

- Asking to click on a button to notify that the user has to download a specific font is BAD. A good website doesn't need a special font.
- You should code your website for every resolutions, not only 1152*864 (one of the less used resolutions furthermore)
- Advertising is annoying, remove it.

Furthermore, HTML is off here, use UBB tags instead to link to your site.

But are you asking for a review, or just advertising ? I just saw you posted three topics like this one. There is no need for several topics. One is enough. And if you're not satisfied with your post, you can edit it, there is a dedicated button just at its top.

If it's spam, I guess there are NO threads that match your topic.

Nitz2752: Well I think MS has covered the bases there - not a great start spamming the forum:
www.ozoneasylum.com/Forum3/HTML/003532.html
www.ozoneasylum.com/Forum3/HTML/003534.html

and none of the posts actually hving what anyone would describe as a point but we've recovered from worse

As well HTML being off (when you are writing the post see the link to the left for the UBB code) you also can't insert Flash into your posts.

InI: I must admit I was erring on the side of incompetence and stupidty but.....

In their favour:

1. The site doesn't appear to be spammy (although their multiple posting is techncially spamming).

2. I didn't see any evidence of them trying to crack the UBB.

The newcomer isn't coming back. This was a one-time spam. And perhaps I'm just paranoid, but InI's explanation sounds very plausible.

I think it would be safe to shut this down now...

Sorry I reopened this one - I'm not a big one for reopening threads but there is no reason to believe that they were trying to crack the boards code - I have copies of what they added to their posts and it was just poor attemtps to get the UBB working. the reason the UBB URL appeared was because they'd copied and pasted it in directly from the page which describes how to use UBB.

I suspect it is more of a case of someone not knowing they could just edit and post and making a mess of the UBB so, although I can't see this going anywhere, I don't see any reason to lock this thread quite yet.

OK, I'll buy that. There may be no compelling reason to lock the thread, but there sure ain't a compelling reason to keep it open, either. What we have here is a dilemma: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them.

Oh, wait, wrong dilemma. Still, an interesting one. Personally, I'd go with the suffering--I think that there is enough joy in life to make up for the suffering. And so, in that light, I find that I must admit that Emps has done the right thing in keeping the thread open (at least according to my logic).

While I'm here, I might as well mention that I haven't seen a good play in a really long time. When I was studying in London, we saw from three to four plays a week. I remember some of my fellow students complaining that this left them with no free time to party, but I was psyched. I mean, after all, when am I ever going to have the chance to see three or four plays a week for six months on end? Granted, some of the stuff we saw was utter crap, but I also saw some really memorable performances, performances that have stuck with me to this day.

These days, though, I just don't have the time to go see plays, and Seoul isn't quite as big on drama as London is. But I'm sure there would be quite a selection if I took the time to look around. I guess it's not so much that I have no time, it's that seeing plays is not really high on my list of priorities anymore. I think I should change that.

Yes, that's a good idea--I am going to see at least one play this summer. Ooh. Now I'm excited.

So, anyone else into plays, or perhaps not into something that you were once really into?

My thinking is that this thread is doing no harm and we are only trying to close threads when it is really required. If we all stop posting to this thread and the person never comes back then it will slowly sink out of sight and out of mind and will be flushed away and all will be right with the world.

And yes I also love going to plays and haven't seen any in a while. My mother was an English Literature teacher and was always organising trips to see plays but I haven't seen many since she died (the IRA bombing of the middle of Manchester didn't help as it closed the Royal Exchange theatre). Perhaps we should form the Asylum Players and put on a play

Nitz,
It looks like you caused a commotion with your posts. Am I wrong to guess you're fresh out of some kind of design school? If you're looking to be critiqued then here's my 2cents;
Go back to the drawing board and rework the design, it needs a little polishing (objects look out of place on my comp - Macintosh). There is good advise up top on what you should do and shouldn't do. Take out the pop-ups, they bug. If this is your first attempt at a web page then it's pretty good, just needs more work. If you're a seasoned web head then... well...

Good luck on your endeavor.

dear god, this could go in circles all damn month.

let me recap for those who are little slower on the uptake -

this post was old and irrelevent.

ram, on a spree of useless drudging up of old posts that day, dug this one up for the sake of posting a totally irrelevent comment.

To which I responded "you need a fucking hobby".

A comment which had nothing to do with anyone's opinion of the theater.

Ok. now let's allow this thread to die as it should and go about our lives...
