We have done so.

I read that one a long time ago but I think I remember it. It's the one where the children take the walk right?

I'll have to reread that one now, I think the last time I read it I was in high school.

Currently I'm working on rereading the Darktower series in preparation for the new installment!

I read it a while back and (personally) find it to be one of the better stories King has written. I remember that it dusturbed me a lot when I read it because of the sheer horror of the boys' situation. I remember being fascinated/horrified thinking about a society that could accept such a ludicrous coming of age ordeal as an ideal. Weird.. loved the book though. Will have to pull it out and give it another go now that you've brought it up

I believe "Running Man" is in the same book as "The Long Walk".
That story told of a pretty dark future.
Find smart people and potential rebels via an aptitude test and kill them in a spectator sport that involves the public at large.
Some of the other game shows were pretty creative.

Too bad they murdered the story when they made the movie.

What? You expected a Schwarzenegger film to be a good adaptation?

If you liked those stories, check out his new collection "Everthing's Eventual."

Great, great collection.
