Four Catholic ladies are having coffee together, discussing how important
their children are.
The first one tells her friends, "My son is a priest. When he walks into
a room, everyone calls him 'Father'."
The second Catholic woman chirps, "Well, my son is a bishop.
Whenever he walks into a room, people say, 'Your Grace'."
The third Catholic woman says smugly, "Well, not to put you down, but my
son is a cardinal. Whenever he walks into a room, people say 'Your Eminence'."
The fourth Catholic woman sips her coffee in silence. The first three
women give her this subtle "Well...?" She replies, "My son is a gorgeous, 6'2", hard bodied,well-hung, male stripper. Whenever he walks into a room, women say, "My God...."

If I could do a perfect imitation of Ed McMahon laughing at one of Johnny's jokes, that's what I would be doing right now.

What? no one else finds this funny? sigh.. jokes aren't funny if they must be explained, but so you will understand the humor from a mother and grandmother's point of view..
Grown women frequently ask their friends: How are you? (and expect a real answer) and how is (insert child's name here)? To the last question, the answer *frequently* turns out to be a study in one-upmanship (sp).

C'mon, velvetrose, we read it, we laughed at it, we just have sort of an Asylum tradition of avoiding "me too" posts. Once you laughed, you did the official Asylum laugh. The rest of us can just agree with you in silence.

It made me chuckle... Even more so because there was recently a bit on the radio about this EXACT topic. What was funny about that one was that they were talking to fathers, not mothers.

Parents all think their child is better than everyone elses kid... Whether it's true or not.
