Pop-up Monkey Theatre
(pardon the lack of puntuation)

Sven said Ted
sent ten tents
Ted said Sven
sent ten cents
when Sven sent
Ted ten cents

Fox in Socks
two favorites

And here's a
new trick, Mr. Knox...
Socks on chicks
and chicks on fox.
Fox on clocks
on bricks and blocks.
Bricks and blocks
on Knox on box.

Through three cheese trees
three free fleas flew.
While these fleas flew,
freezy breeze blew.
Freezy breeze made
these three trees freeze.
Freezy trees made
these trees' cheese freeze.
That's what made these
three free fleas sneeze.

Got any childhood (or adulthood) favorites?

i remember my mother saying these when i was little. it just amazed me then haha

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers;
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked;
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

..and this one

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck,
if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
As much wood as a woodchuck would,
if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

The first book I ever read to myself was "Fox in Socks". I must have been about 5 or 6. *sigh* the memories...

All mine from childhood are quoted above... Lacuna, we used to say that woodchuck one all the time...

My little sister used to take Drama in school, and her drama teacher gave her the following, so that she would learn to enunciate:

Eight egotistical egoists, egotistically echoing egotistical ecstasies

Among others, but that's the first one that comes to mind...

Unique New York. :blech:

Oh yeah, the woodchuck one. I used to have a Mickey Mouse book that had a canner variation. How many cans can a canner can if a canner can can cans? Which led into a joke about peaches.
What do you do with all of the peaches from your orchard?
We eat what we can, and what we can't we can.
nyuck nyuck nyuck

WS, I hate tongue twisters like that one. You know, the big B letter.
Although, bloody baby buggy bumpers never gave me any trouble.

I saw a ventriloquist do some tongue twisters. Man, that guy was good. Suzie, Suzie sits in a shoe shine shop. She sits and shines and shines and sits - she's sitting and shining in a shoe shine shop. Several verses along the same lines. He was right up there with Senor Wences (RIP 1999) and Jeff Dunham.

Man.... thought I was the only one here long enough in the tooth to remember him. =)

" S'all right?" " S'okay" ~slam~ I still chuckle. =)

Returning you now to your regular 'twisters.'

Is it rubber or bloody?
I remember looking it up at the library and that particular book said bloody.
Strange, that.

NJ, I remember Senor Wences very well. I saw his appearance when he was on The Muppet Show (original airing), and I laughed my ass off. His comedy was so simple, and his skills were astounding. :sniff: Beautiful, man. Beautiful.

Now I'm getting into the mood talk about the likes of Senor Wences, Charles M. Schultz, Chuck Jones, Mel Blanc, and Jim Henson.

There is a town in Mexico called Parangaricutirimicuaro. That is a tongue twister I was taught when I was taking Spanish classes.

I was so sad when Jim Henson died. His son tries, but it's just not the same. I grew up on Henson's work... his characters, his voices... The Dark Crystal has always been one of my favorite movies... The man was a freakin' genius! *sniff*
