So here it is , my first post and my story.

Jan 6, 2004 - My wife had a massive stroke. She is only 44 and this was due to a disease called endo carditis or something like that, that was eating the valves of her heart and caused four massive clots in her brain stem. Then, Jan 10, 2004 she had a massive vein burst in her head and life saving decisions had to be made in minutes by the doctors regarding there treatment. Life and death decisions. They sat the family in the quiet room. They said they were very sorry.

My wife and myself have not really participated in churches or religious activities. But what I am trying to tell you is that when you or a loved one is faced with such a horrific moment and death is in front of you and your heart aches with so much emotion and pain, I think there are some instinctual words that arise. Those words are "Please God".

So this is my story, bad or negative feelings could be from the Devil or life itself, dunno?
But I do know she came home 51 days later, and I still love her just the way she is. We will work on getting back the things we take for granted.

And guess what, I am publicly thanking you know who right now. Peace: Matt

Thanks very much for sharing that, Matt. All of us are here for only a temporary amount of time. Our physical bodies will eventually give out, it is the way of things. I am so glad to hear your wife came home. As you work on appreciating the things we take for granted, please consider the "God question" because I personally believe it is all important. If you should ever want to discuss this type of thing in more detail, I and several others here are very happy to do so either in the forum or privately. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Peace

Thanks for sharing this with us. I hope for a full recovery. I am glad you seeked God and asked for his help. Even if you spent most of your life doing your will but found God at the moment of a crisis in your life, God forgives all when you put your trust in him. For myself, I have walked thur a heart wrenching ordeal and know God has carried me thur it. I could of completely turned away from God, but knew God never turned away from me in my moments of darkness. God continued to hound my wounded soul to come back and I am so grateful for it.

Please give us an update on your wife's progress if you can.
