Insane since: Mar 2000	posted 07-20-2002 06:24 Ok I used ResEdit to change the application from APPL to APP8 and the Creator from CARO to CAR8 and this has the effect of disabling Acrobat 5.0. Acrobat 4.0 now natively opens pdf files when I click to open them. I reverted the ResEdit changes to 5.0 and it renables the application with no damage. Woohoo, I'm happy cause I don't have to remove 5.0 from my system entirely in order to make things work.
