This has got me a bit stumped. I have a PDF file of guitar tabs, and chords, lyrics etc., with the pages being an assortment of different sizes. Some may be 10x10" , 10 x30" etc.
What I have been trying to figure out is how can I keep the exact layout of the guitar tab spacing, (the whole document) so that they correspond to the placement of the lyrics etc., when I change the page size?
I need all the final page sizes to all be 8.5x11" to print.

I have tried croping the pages in Acrobat , export to Post Script file, tried to import to QuarkXpress and InDesign to rework it, but they only seem to import 1 page at a time.
Everything comes out wonky, and pages cut off .
The chords and tabs do not correspond to the lyrics

There are 78 pages of this crap I need to sort out for a friend...me and my big mouth!

Any suggestions or directions appreciated.

cheers

Have you tried printing to a postscript file, while turning on fit to page and choosing your paper size. Then ones the postscript is generated running it through distiller.

Now I don't recall if the Acrobat PPD supports fit to page, but you could always install another printer and use it to generate the raw postscript. I perfer to use the scitex brisque driver, It allows tons of options.

You might also want to check out: Adobe's Studio Exchange, Check out the InDesign Section, there is a multi page PDF Import Script for Indesign. http://share.studio.adobe.com/

That multi page script would have been good except it is for windows and I am using Mac OS.

I have tried fit to page in Distiller (from a Raw PostScript) file options but this is where the letters of the guitar tabs get placed randomly, and not over the part of the lyrics where they are supposed to be.

Anyhow thanks for the tips J. Stuart J.,

I'll see if another print driver for Mac will make any difference.
