I really do like the texture you used as a base there sib, I tried to recreate it but failed miserably

Ok sib got it. Lookin' good.
I have never got into the habit of using folders. Is their function purely organisational or is there another use/function?
You know, the more I get into PS the more I find I need to learn! I keep on finding treasure after treasure.

I just started using them recently to be honest. But I find it really helps me keeping things a little better organized and so far I have had no problems with the staking of the layers. One of my biggest problems is adding layers and not labeling them and then try and find what is what.
The tools to be organized are there so why not learn to use them ... mind you old habits are hard to break.

Sorry about my delay in replying sib, 'tis due to time and a little artistic blockage
I should have a reply for you in the next day or two.
I've found that I don't know as much about creating a textured background as I thought I did! I really like the ones you have used, are they stock or did you make them?

Don't worry about time !

The hand is a stock image and I have to check where I got it from. The texture I used in the first serve is from a very old print I found in a box in the basement and scanned that one. When it comes to making my own textures - to be honest it is a hit and miss affair for me too. Sometimes I ask myself if ever gonna get a decent handle on this program and just when I think I got something down pad ... something else comes along and I am back at the beginning again.

Well I got a little splurge of work done so I thought I'd better post up now, before I decide to change it all again. Not so much inspiration as perspiration, I just banged away at it and hoped something would appear!
I've turned all the layers off to reduce filesize, and marked the layers I used in blue. (good idea sib).

I've used all the layers, just turned them off for filesize. All the layers I wasn't using I've dumped, I hope that's OK. You have the .PSD from your last serve anyway, right?

I've grabbed the .rar sib
I like the times, doing stuff like this, when you find you're doing things with the image you never tested before. And end up somewhere you didn't imagine
I'm in the middle(ish) of a complete re-format of my computer so I may be a bit longer replying I've just installed PS on my new HDD, it looks lean and mean without the plug ins and preferences set.

Well here we are at the magic 8th round sib, I'm not sure if you wish to continue or not.
In this one I have pulled together a couple of previous serves and "punted"
If we do continue I think I'll need to mash it up a little and change the "feel".

It has been a lot of fun and learned a few things in the proccess.

Yep, that feels about right for me too sib. Thanks for giving me a great game too. I find that I seem to produce work that I never would have thought of outside of the "game". I hope we can have another game of Pong in the future.
I have put all the images we produced Here So if you wanted to save web space and still show your pictures you could use them.
