Topic: POW Week 21 - Sports (Page 1 of 1)

Kinda got caught off guard, sorry about the delay. I don't think we've done a sports theme yet, though we did do stop action. Lots of things qualify as sports, and some of the best sports photos involve things that take place around sporting events. Think in circles, have fun, make sports photos.

A few guidelines:
1. Photo needs to go along with the subject in some way.
2. Use thumbnails for photos with any dimension larger than 450 px or over 40 kb.
3. Post as many as you want.
4. At the end of the week the person who chose the topic will pick someone to choose the next topic. This isn't a "winner," just someone who gets to suggest the next topic.
5. No critiques (unless requested) this is just to share our photos.
6. No sigs.

Wes, for the record it's ~flag~ football. A tackle is made by grabbing a cloth strip attached to the player by velcro. They keep it gentle in 5th grade. Just wanted to avoid any confusion. The "smooch" photo was kind of a mistake as the focus was a bit off, but with a different crop it shifted the attention nicely away from the ball carrier to the action I thought. Comments are always welcome, this week in particular. Sports pix are tough for me and I normally try to avoid them.

The toughest part was trying to explain to my own 5th grade defensive lineman that being double teamed all day is a good thing.

I love that second one. That boy is going to be popular with the ladies I tell you!

Krets, you're it. I liked the stadiumbonds pic. That would rock as a verticle composition with more people in it.
