in the few days I've been a visitor (and now poster) in the Ozone Asylum, I've certainly developed deep respect for the assembled talent here. More so for the enthusiasm ... The whole is a sum of some great parts!

I welcome all critiques and suggestions.

I am embarking on a crash self-taught dhtml course, and would love pointers to solid online tutorials and resources. I want the same control I had 15 years ago as a paste-up artist (when I think of all the hours logged to get great with an exacto knife .. argggh *g*) when laying out web pieces ..

Well, first thing I think would be to add some sort of content to the main page so it's not so empty. I would lean towards a description of what you are currently doing or are interested in getting hired to do.

The @ graphic doesn't quite seem to fit. It looks too flat. Maybe if it was on a button similar to the other ones or at least the interface flowed around it the way it does to the buttons.

Design wise I am a firm believe in labeled buttons. I guess it's a personal preference kind of thing, but on a site who's primary purpose is to provide information, it makes sense to let the viewer see everything at a glance instead of having to go over each one and make a mental tabulation. Just a thought.

Finally I would line up your portfolio work and give some short blurbs about them to give some context. Illustrations especially are hard to judge effectively without first understanding their purpose.

Other than that I think it looks like a clean design. The noisy orange and green wouldn't be my first choice for complimentary colors, but then again I used green and purple at my new site which no one seemed to like except me.

Heh, anyway, good luck finding a new job (or whatever you hope to do with this site), should have no trouble impressing some prospective employers.
