Who Stands? is a band at my church; they asked me to create a site for them a while ago and it's basically finished now. Before it goes up, I'd appreciate it if some people here could take a look and tell me of any major problems that I may have missed.

(Please don't say anything like "I think you should start over from scratch!" because I'll pass out. Thanks =) )

nice looking site Slime ! I really like the way you did you navigation and the way the roll over images are designed.. I ran thru the whole site and I cant see anything wrong with it. Good choice of colours and good page size..

One tiny thing I might suggest is slightly less blur on the 'who stands' in your header graphic.. but really its a personal preference.. I can still make it out..

another good job.. darn.. theres a lot of good sites being put recently from the folks around here! <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

edit: darn Weadah.. must have been typing at the same time!.. lol@ the blur pick up!

<img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/redface.gif">rders a couple cold ones.. (-: and disappears like magic

Looks nice to me.
I like the mouseover of the buttons.
The line "let the worship revolution begin" is very close to the edge. I am sure you made it like that on purpose, but the way it is only the p and g that reach all the way down it looks almost like a mistake to me. I would probably move it up or down a little.

I think you should start over fromno really just kidding. How 'bout - That guy wearing headphones looks just like me... no?

Heeh. okay. It looks good. A little.... mebbe a tad sterile for a band but then again, it's straight forward and that's a good thing. Tidy and to the point. I think alot of band websites just go nuts. Some I have trouble navigating.

"Who Stands" (infront) could be just a bit more exciting. "Who Stands" (behind) could be just a bit less blurred so it can still be read.

Cool... RHS buttons / iFaces I'm always in favour of. I wish more designers did that.

Okay cya

nice site, but i don't really like the buttons on the right. the mouseovers blow up the words and they go out of the picture on some of them.

nice site overall - home page looks a little blank without text, but it will look better once you have some.

i like the way the name of each page is on the top banner, but i would agree with the comment that the background Who stands? is too blurry.

i like the rollovers and navigation, but on 2 of them (contact & photos) the words are cut off.

good work mate!

i like the stagering of the letters in the buttons ....why not just do away with the lettering on the mouse overs??? the top logo who stands needs to be higher and to the left a lil? nice graphics...

Hey Slime, nice to know some people still go to church. I'm also working on a site for my church's youth fellowship, I will be posting it here when its a little more complete.

Anyway, I really like your site, very neat and tidy. Excellent use of the photos in the images and rollovers. I did notice one mistake though. When I clicked on the Photos, it said I was on the Forum page at the top right of the screen?

Shaazamm! I would be interested in a list of the songs you mentioned, and I could then pass them on the the youth group at church. I will also be sending them to the site Slime.

Nice work Slime

Cool, what religion/denomination are you two? And any others? I'm Protestant myself, other than that i guess I could be considered non-denominational.

I fixed that problem with the "forum" where it should be "photos"... my sister picked it up too. Thanks!

Some of those songs look good... I have a lot of them myself already. However, the morality of downloading copies of christian music is a gray area... assuming most of them are illegal copies, ya'know? I never download songs myself because of that.

hey guys, looks like this thread's morphed into a "christian's central", so i'll just say g'day, and im from a reformed church in sydney (kinda like protestant, slime).
oh yeah, by the way, your page is the crappiest i have ever seen, i hate the navigation facilities, and the color scheme doesnt work for me, and the graphics are a little amateurish.
translated: damn that's a nice site, i wish i could make something that good!

Slime, I'm from a Methodist church here in the UK. I have relatives in the US but can't remember where they live nowadays 'cos they're constantly on the move, going from church to church doing a mime act.

Nice work as we've come to expect from you. I really dont suggest changing anything except perhaps adding a more of a motion blur to the text "Who Stands?" Overal it looks nice, neat, and professional. Real nice ...

j/k
I"m in a band with his sister and our singer made us all copies of Passion so we could learn the songs, I thought it was a little odd but she didn't.

Most Christian artist's probably don't care if you're rippin mp3's but since the Metallica thing... it's obviously illegal. Unlike slime I don't think there's much of a gray area anymore.

Yup, got some good music on that list there. Disciple owns all that though <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

try:
Disciple - "This might sting a little" (heavy)
Supertones - "Strike back" and "adventures of" (ska)
Insyders - (ska)
Blindside, P.O.D., Project 86, Klank (all heavy)

That's quite a bit different than what you're used to listening to I think from your list Shiiizzzam but maybe you like? I remember when I made a concious effort to listen to music with good subject matter as opposed to bad I was stuck with the stuff like on your list cuz that's what was on the radio. When I heard the Supertones for the first time it blew my mind and I started lookin for more stuff that I liked and sure enough there quite a few good Christian bands out there. Blew me away. Just stay away from ZAO, trust me.
