Ok well I just got finished watching Alien, Event Horizon, and the original Hellraiser, and all I have to say is there will be many more entries from me...

actually, at the time i remembered i could do this, i was doing this really cool covered in blood psychotic character that was surrounded by disfigured and dismembered bodies...

But i got bored out of the concept in the midprocess so...

Why do people feel the need to tell everyone how long it took them to complete their work? Its almost like a justification. Sure it's not perfect but ya know I didn't put any real time into it. Put some time into it damnit.

I don't think I normally fall into the category with agreeing with Jestah... but he's absolutely correct, here.

I have no fuckin' clue what would possess someone to post something that they made in 5 minutes.... that they already know "sucks".
It's becoming a trend all over the asylum.

As much as it's been said lately..... it needs to be repeated over and over and over again.... 'cause some people still don't get it......... Please remove your head from your ass prior to posting... thankyou.

It's one thing to start a new thread and post an image you've been working on for hours/days on end, and you need a little advice on how to achieve a certain effect, or you just need some opinions that would come from a few different sets of eyes. It's an entirely different thing to toss half-ass, shit shaving images into the forum that you know have not been givin the time required, nor have the intent to actually work them towards the vicinity of "completion".

This is not directed at any one person... this is directed at the asylum as a whole.
At what point all this became a trend, i don't know..... But there's some of you that do this on a consistant basis.
People pumping out images as fast as possible...l. but never taking a minute to go into it.... or step back from an image for a day and re-working BEFORE asking for assisstance.
Meanwhile..... there's people jumping up and down in the forums barking out the same damn things they've been saying time and time again.

There's nothing better to study than the real thing.

I don't particularly care if I stray off onto different tangents.
Everyone hoops and hollars when Mahjqa makes a tasty sig....
Everyone jumps up and down at the slick paintings that DarkGarden produces....
Everyone runs around in circles talking about the smooth layouts that Doc crafts....
(and the works of so many others around here)
But no one wants to put in the effort that these people have.
Lots of people say that they put in the effort.... but then they fool themselves, and lie to everyone else when they drop in an image that's a self-proclaimed piece of shit.
Fuck. This is all being played on repeat, folks.
This has all been said a million times over... and i know it'll be said a million times more.
People want to get "better"... but don't take the steps to get there.

I've lost my train of thought... distractions are abundant in cafes.

I realize that a good portion of the asylum's population will not even see this post.
But I guess I just figured that this shit needed to be said again.

Now go back to being stupid and taking 3 minutes to pump out your thought-less images.

Well, as for my two cents, I'm trying not to say anything about the sigs here one way or another, since I will eventually have to judge them and I'd like to reserve comment until that time.

However, now that the subject is out in the open, I will say this: rough drafts stand very little chance in this competition. There are a lot of good sigs this month, so if you really want to post a rough draft, do it elsewhere. Then post the final product here. This is already the third thread devoted to this contest, and the month is only half over.

Yeah, but Michael has a solid point...and I've been noticing it lately, as well. Many of the real pros have been trying to help out lately...with tips, suggestions, etc, and they are being blatently ignored by most of the n00bs...I personally find it alarming...

What I don't understand...everyone wants the OHHS and AAHS, but only a few are willing to put in the hard work to get them...

Rome wasn't built in a day, folks...and most of the pros here put in a ton of practice and hard work to attain their presents skill...but most importantly, they listened to advice that was given...

You all could, too...just take a look at Drac (sorry, Drac...but I feel you are a good example...shoot me if I am wrong...Izzay as well...)

He's come one hell of a long way...but then, he put in the time and effort...and listened to the experts...

If people are going to post a rough draught of a sig at least put into some kind of format that looks like whats its supposed to be, instead of saying this is just something i put together in 5 mins, why not spend 3o mins trying to get it to look like what it is supposed to, then saying ok guys this is what i have so far what can i do to improve it! then actually come back with a reworked version of it. Not every one is as good as the likes of dg ds mahjqa and dracusis etc. but they didnt start out like that, like ws says their stuff kicks ass we know that, a couple of days ago i did a rough draught but put enough work into it that it was recognisable and only needed some minor editing, when its finished i will post it back but not untill then, what pisses me off more than anything is when ya see the same crap reposted a million times and ya spend half an hour scrolling thru crap to find something new, the classic example of this was the damn lightsabre thing....rip off's at half a dozen and then just tiy mods posted over and over gain, why not just edit one damn reply and add them to that..but no a million damn replies by some of the same people....and they werent even original... if ya want input about something before developing it get it to a stage where it looks like ya have made an effort then the people that really know their shit might give enough shit to help ya. anyway appologies for tacking this on back to the comp.

Docile: OWWIIEEE! I had eye surgery several years ago and I remember having the stitches that dissolved after a month. But during that whole month was pure torture! I could not sleep well because those stitches would scratch the inside of my eyelids when I slept. It was like having something in your eye and you could not touch it. The knot was the worst to come out. That took the longest time. Before the surgery I had what they call 'Lazy Eye' one eye would physically drift off to one side. My vision got so bad that I was seeing double most of the time. IT SUCKED for that whole month, but I do not regret having that procedure done.
