I was honored to be the December 2002 sig contest winner. It meant alot to me. The Asylum is a great place full of talented, dedicated artists. Many of the competitors are people whose talent and opinions I respect very much. Thank you all for letting me be a part of this forum and this contest.

Now comes the time of decision. My criteria were quality, originality, and the general sig guidelines as given in the FAQs. I was also looking for that elusive, hard to define WOW! factor.

Winner of the Mary Kate and Ashley look alike award... Yannah!

Winner of the Honorable Mention or Damn That Must Of Been A Hell Of Alot of Work Award... tomeaglescz!

An excellent piece of animation work only held back by a persistent transparency problem.

Winner of Third Place... synax! Also a winner of the coveted "made my wife, who is looking over my shoulder, laugh" award.

Very original but large.

Winners of Second Place... mahjqa and EzRA-D! A tie.

Both well done sigs using a good mix of textures. Right on sizes and quality. Very Fine work on both.

and the Winner of the January 2003 sig conest is... Odd Cat!

Original, with the WOW! factor. Excellent Metal and Jewel work. Good grasp of Refraction.

Congratulations everyone and thanks for competing!

*clap! clap! clap*

Now that I have a taste for sig contests...what's this month's theme?

Way to go Cat! Very nice choice Moth.

The only question is, just where does that thing go Cat? You know what they say about people with pierced tongues...

Odd Cat: Congratulations there was an awful lot of great work this month (Ezra-D and Amerasu's work really stood out again but the level was awfully high) but that was a great concept really nicely realised - well done to Moth for coming up with the idea and overseeing things (despite my best efforts to cut things short ).

Yannah: Well done on your award (even if it was a made up one ).

Just wondering, but if you had to pick a runner up, as in after honorable mention, who would it be?
