Hi all!

Mysite is hosted at NT server, and I have tested ASP is enabled, allso if I upload database I can access to it and read it but I am not able to write in database and to write in text files!

How to enable writing in certain text file or database? CHMOD 666 filename does not work, command unknown...

Linux rules but... I am forced to use NT host at least next 9 months...

As Grumble already said contact them, usually they will do that for you.
The hosting company where I host my site just did it for me. No problemos.
They had a directory that is outside of the root (it is safer that way) and that one was writable by default, so check if you have something like that.

In that case, when you ftp to your site you would find two folders similar to the ones below:
yoursite.com
data (this one is writable)

Some hosting companies offer an admin tool and let you do the configuration on your own.

Thanks all!

I will call them! Sasha could translate this for you "Slusajte vi tamo, dajte mi jedan direktorij da mogu pisati u njega inace odoh kod drugih da me hostaju..."

well... that was "Listern you over there, give me write access to a directory or I am moving to another host..."
