Hi Gurus,

my project sounds pretty simple:

1. a registered user enters some sensitive data
2. a script generates a individual PDF
3. user is asked to pay online via CC
4. the PDF if emailed or displayed

(i don't know if 2. and 3. may be swapped, but anyhow)

i'd like to do this in PHP on an SSL server, but i was told that this might not be safe enough.

the biggest problerm i see is the online payment stuff.
it should be for a german account, accept different CCs and should be
flexible (languages, currencies and methods)

what would you guys recommend for payment provider

thanks
Flo

and in case you need it creating PDFs:

as long as you don't actually store the credit card information for longer than you need to process it, and store it encrypted, a php/ssl combo is actually safer than handing your credit card to a waiter. (since the waiter can easily duplicate the card/write down the infos and the receipts usually end up in the trash, possibly shredder, but you could only write down the infos, and no one could use the infos after you deleted them.
